  Education and training

Luka Koper is well aware of the requirements of the present business environment, which is why knowledge was made a priority among our basic values and also why the employees were assigned the role of our strategic wealth.

Luka Koper is a learning organisation. In 2009 it devoted on average 16 hours to functional training per employee.

Training and education concerns every single employee.
Every year employees participate in more than 150 different forms of education. The transfer of knowledge between employees is extremely important. Knowledge is the only wealth that grows if shared with others.

The goal of training is to acquire the new knowledge which will contribute to more efficient working and the development of the company. This goal is attained by continuous and systematic functional education of employees, making studies after hours possible in Slovenia and abroad, and programmes for training newly recruited employees and staff promoted to more demanding and responsible jobs.
