SoNorA

|
SoNorA is a transnational cooperation project, financed within the Accessibility priority of the CENTRAL EUROPE Programme, which aims to help regions across Central Europe. The project aims to develop accessibility in South North direction, between the Adriatic and Baltic seas. The project is part of the program Central Europe and is co-financed by the ERDF*.

Kobalink |
Beside Luka Koper and the Barcelona-based Autoterminal S.A. this project also involves Greece’s Neptune Lines, and is co-financed by the EU through a Marco Polo grant. The funding scheme aims to shift freight from the continent’s overburdened roads to more environment-friendly transport by means of rail, sea and river. In this instance it is short sea shipping project, part of the “motorways of the sea” initiative operated by the European Union.

Watermode

The project with the title Transnational Network for the Promotion of Water-Land Multimodal Transport is directed at logistics operators in southeast Europe. Leaded by the Venice Port Authority it aims to promote, improve and co-ordinate the implementation of transport policies which involve the efficient employment of multimodal logistics services that will increase the exploitation of maritime transport routes - which are more environment-friendly - in relation to overland transport as well as establish efficient connections. The project is part of the program South East Europe and is co-financed by the ERDF*.

Backgrounds

Leaded by the Sicily region, this project addresses the realities of operation of various Mediterranean ports – local, regional, transit etc. It is aimed at identifying the elements which enhance a ports' competitiveness through efficient collaboration with production systems and industry in their hinterland, and vice versa: how efficient infrastructure and a model of conceptual development of a port can enhance the competitiveness of industry within its hinterland. The project is implemented under the program MED and is co-financed by the ERDF*.

The project was selected at the Program of the cross-border cooperation Italy – Slovenia and was created to improve the accessibility on both sides of the border with the creation of the Italian – Slovenian transport system of light railway for passengers. The project Projekt MOS4MOs, Monitoring and operation services for motorways of the sea, was selected at the call 2010 of the Program TEN-T/ Motorways of the Sea iz leta 2010. It is a ICT project, of a duration of one year, in which 28 partner from Spain, Italiy, Greece and Slovenia are participating. The project' ultimate goal is to help the Motorways of the Sea to becomae a reality in Europe, by making maritime transport more efficient and safer. The project is co-financed by the EU.

ITS Adriatic Multiport Gateway |
The project has a predominant ICT character and is implemented under the TEN-T (Motorways of the Sea) program to increase the competitiveness of the whole North Adriatic range as a gateway for the Motorways of the Sea. It is leaded by the Venice Port Authority, with the participation of all the members of the North Adriatic Port Association / NAPA (Port Authorities of Ravenna, Trieste, Rijeka and Luka Koper). The project is co-financed by the European Union. Project duration: 1st April 2010 – 28th June 2013.

SAFEPORT |
SafePort or Port and management of industrial and environmental risks is part of the cross-border program Slovenia – Italy and is co-financed by ERDF* (85%) and the national budget (15%). The project is promoting the development of strategies and common plans to eliminate and reduce environmental risks in the ports of Ravenna, Chioggia, Venice, Monfalcone, Nogaro, Trieste and Koper. Beside that it promotes the coordination of methodology in the field of environment protection that are in use in the ports of the North of the Adriatic. The project has a very wide range of activities: from the study of emergency situations to emissions, splits in the sea and risks connected with handling of dangerous cargo.

EMPIRIC

|
The project EMPIRIC was created with the goal of increasing competitivity of intermodal transporting solutions in programme areas of the Central Europe. It was chosen based on a tender for the program Central Europe. The European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) finances 85% of the activities. EMPIRIC is lead by the Venice Port Authority. Luka Koper (Port of Koper) is participating as a project partner and along with the other partners is included in the analysis of the current infrastructure and overview of the support of intermodal services as well as identifing actionable plans and preparation of possible solutions that could help increasing the competitivity of intermodal transport in comparison to road transport. The focus of the analysis is on the Priority Project 23. The European network with a prolungation to Bologne or with a variety to Grado, then connects to the Priority project 6. The remaining partners come from Italy, Austria, Hungary, Czech Republic, Germany and Poland. www.empiricproject.eu

LOGICAL |
LOGICAL - Transnational logistics' improvement through cloud computing and innovative cooperative business models).
The aim of the project is to develope and introduce an highly innovative ICT service based on cloud computing to enhance the interoperability of actors in multimodal logistics co-operation and major central Europe logistic knots. LOGICAL conributes to the achievement of the objectives by: strengthening the logistics' sector's penetration with modern ICT services, increasing the cost efficiency in logistics through a reduction of transaction cost of b2b co-operation, enhancing intermodal co-operation in a common cloud computing system, promoting internal integration in Central European logistics hubs to promote co-operation and exchange beyond TEN-T corridors (promotion of sustainable ways of multimodal transport).
The European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) finances 85% of the activities.
»Cloud computing« enhance attractivity for business activities through the availability of relevant information for performing these activities. The key result of the project is an universal ICT standard for »cloud computing« in logistics.
