Super-heavy and project cargos arriving at the Port of Koper are attended by an experienced team of engineers, technicians, drivers and operative personnel. Destined for Austria’s power generation and distribution sector, this special cargo of extreme weight and dimensions arrived from China, transported by a vessel equipped with its own heavy lifting gear. At Koper the individual pieces of cargo, weighing up to 150 tonnes each, were transferred to special road trailers designed for abnormal transports. A succession of abnormal transports will be organised from Koper into the European hinterland, and in the meantime the cargo shall be stored at the port.
