Basic port activity

The basic activities performed in the Port of Koper are cargo handling and warehousing.
Our services are available day and night, all year long. The only exceptions are 1 January, 1 May and 25 December.

The Port of Koper is a multi-purpose port with the status of an entry point for goods designated for the European Union (BIP border inspection post).

Basic activities are carried out at specialised terminals, organised into five profit centres (PC).  The company has at its disposal the appropriate knowledge, technology and premises for the activities it performs.

All terminals are located directly on the coast and are equipped with the latest handling, transport and warehousing technology. Adequate road and railway infrastructure enables direct manipulations.
