A Record Cargo Throughput

8th November 2010 will be recorded in the chronicles of Luka Koper as the day the Container Terminal handled its four hundred thousandth TEU this year. Notwithstanding the current recession, the Container Terminal continues to accomplish above-average growth rates. Cargo throughput has nearly doubled over the past five years, which can, in particular, be attributed to new services in the Mediterranean and to the Far East , together with regular well organised railfreight services, all of this in the context of the creation of a business environment in which partners freely participate in the provision of logistics services. In addition, the Port's competitive edge, predicated on good organisation and employee efficiency, have contributed to client confidence, and made this accomplishment possible.
