The event was organised by Luka Koper to present results achieved through the participation in the co-financed project implemented under the TEN-T program.
Under the guidance of Fundacion Valenciaport, B2MOS gave the opportunity to continue the work already started within the MOS4MOS Action. Aim of the project is to provide, with the introduction of innovative IT solutions, a suitable array of measures in order for ports to become efficient gateways for short sea shipping and therefore to be able to compete on a door-to-door scale.
Since the development of container traffic appears to be the priority for the Port of Koper, Luka Koper focused in this particular segment by studying the possibility of introducing EDIFACT messages in the communication with the business environment, further it researched ways to optimize communication with railway operators as well as the introduction of mobile solutions. The project gave the opportunity to prototype connections with the governmental sector, in particular to adapt to requirements set by the Directive 65/2010 on the single window and therefore to connect with the system NEO. Through B2MOS Luka Koper promoted the use of electronic invoices among members of the port community.
