Consortium of the Koper Passenger terminal awarded with the “Zlati sejalec 2007”

The »Sejalec« (Sower) award is annually conferred by the Slovenian Tourist Board for creative and innovative achievements in the field of tourism. This year’s highest award »Zlati sejalec« (Golden Sower) was granted to the Consortium of the Koper Passenger terminal.
The Consortium was founded in December 2003 by the Municipality of Koper, Luka Koper d.d., Istrabnez d.d. and Regional chamber of commerce Koper. The aim of Consortium is to develop maritime passenger traffic and attract cruise ships in this part of Adriatic sea. In several years the Koper passenger terminal became a point of destination as well as a point of boarding for passengers. In 2007 about 25,000 tourists were registered on the terminal, the majority of them took part in one-day sightseeing trips exploring Slovenia's hinterland.
