On 27th November, Luka Koper, in collaboration with railway operator Baltic Rail and the Slovenian Association of Port Logistics Providers, participated at the Trans Poland 2013 fair in Warsaw. Borut Čok and Andrej Cah of Luka Koper presented participants at this event an overview of the capacities of the Port of Koper and its shipping links. They also drew attention to the favourable transit times it is able to provide for cargo transported, in particular, between Southern Poland and the Mediterranean as well as all destinations east of Suez. Vadim Shabarov of Baltic Rail, which operates a regular block train service between Koper and Wroclaw, announced that his company intends to increase the current weekly service to a twice-weekly one in 2014. The meeting with existing and potential Polish clients and partners was concluded with a presentation of the flexibility of customs and other administrative procedures at Koper, made by Čedomir Bojanič, the President of the Slovenian Association of Port Logistics Providers.
