In the night between the 28th and 29th of December on the Port of Koper’s railway tracks the wagon number 200,000 was handled in this year.  Such a number means an increase of 26,369 units in comparison to last year.

The majority of the cargo (about 70%) bound for or leaving the Port of Koper is being transported by railway. The railway connection of the Port to its hinterland is becoming a bottle neck, nevertheless good cooperation and common endeavours of experts on the side of Luka Koper and the Slovenian Railways enable regularity in the traffic in spite of its constant increase.
