Because of the oversized dimensions and weight of the cargo, a detailed lifting plan had to be prepared. This time, the handling was carried out using the port’s own cranes. In addition to loading the steam boilers, we also handled cargo from ten 40‑foot containers carrying auxiliary equipment – such as pipes, valves, and bolts – needed for the assembly of the boilers. The entire transport composition measured 32 metres in length and weighed an impressive 115 tonnes.
