On behalf of the gold sponsor of the Slovenian national ski jumping and Nordic combined teams, the sports delegation was welcomed by the company’s management: Gregor Belič, Gorazd Jamnik, and Vojko Rotar, Labour Director, and the President of the Management Board of Luka Koper d. d., Nevenka Kržan, who congratulated them on their outstanding achievements this season: “We are proud to host so many World Cup medal winners today, the winner of the Overall Crystal Globe, and a world record holder as well as the winner of the Small Crystal Globe. Your successes this season are the result of many years of hard work, perseverance, and sacrifice, and they prove how important it is to invest in future generations. We share a responsibility for sustainable action in everything we do, as we are not seeking immediate results, but are investing in long-term success in the future. We are proud to have supported you for many years,” Kržan said.
The ski jumpers took the time to visit terminals throughout the port and to socialize with employees of the Port of Koper. They showcased their top achievements from this season – the gold medals from the World Championships won by Anže Lanišek, Domen Prevc, Timi Zajc, and Lovro Kos in the team event, the Overall Crystal Globe won by Nika Prevc, and the Small Crystal Globe won by Domen Prevc.
Planica record holder Domen Prevc told the media that he is still not fully aware of his achievements: “You can’t just absorb everything at once. You need some time, especially time for yourself, so that your mind and body can truly grasp what you have achieved and what you have done.” Nika Prevc described the past season as a dream season and far better than she could have imagined at the start, adding: “If I know myself well, I know what I can still improve.”
