The delegation was received in the new Passenger Terminal building by the President of the Management Board Nevenka Kržan, Management Board member Gregor Belič, and Head of Marketing Borut Šemrl. They guests were presented with the port’s operations, key business results, and current and planned development investments. Special emphasis was placed on opportunities for cooperation with Latin American and Caribbean countries in the fields of trade and logistics.

During the visit, President of the Port of Koper’s Management Board Nevenka Kržan highlighted that the execution of the trade agreement between the EU and MERCOSUR is expected to increase trade between European and South American countries, which could have a positive impact on logistics flows in Europe and create new opportunities for traffic growth through the Port of Koper. At the meeting which took place in a pleasant and constructive atmosphere, the ambassadors expressed great interest in continuing discussions and strengthening business ties with the Port of Koper.

At the end of the visit, the delegation toured the port. Their program will continue with visits to other important Slovenian infrastructure and research institutions, as well as companies such as the Krško Nuclear Power Plant and the TRIGA research reactor.
