Transport from the port will be carried out as an oversized convoy during late evening hours, accompanied by the required escort vehicles. The route will follow the northern bypass – from the Passenger Terminal toward the main port entrance, continuing along Ankaranska cesta and the Bertoška access road to the motorway toward Ljubljana. Minor traffic disruptions may occur, as this type of cargo requires low-speed transport for safety reasons. However, no significant impact on the local environment or residents is expected. Such transports are planned in advance and announced on the national traffic portal PROMET.SI.

Wind turbine blades are classified as project cargo, which is handled at the port only occasionally. Their volume has been increasing in recent years, primarily in light of the European Green Transition and efforts to achieve climate neutrality targets.
In 2026, two shipments of blades are expected, with the first arriving as early as next week. Several oversized transports will be organized, each consisting of a convoy of three trucks. The first convoy is scheduled for Friday, March 27.
We thank all road users in advance for their understanding and apologize for any possible inconvenience.
