The region where we operate has always been shaped by the sea – maritime activities have long supported economic growth and, in turn, the development of many other industries. This annual celebration serves as a moment to reflect on the importance of maritime heritage for our country and the need to preserve it for the future. By adopting the resolution, Slovenia also committed itself to caring for its coastal area – both its natural and cultural heritage – and to pursuing an economically and development‑oriented policy that supports the growth of the Port of Koper.
