The Fruit Terminal was presented for the first time this year on the international Fair Fruitlogistica that took place form the 10th to the 12th December in Berlin and which is gaining on importance year by year. A noticeable interest was showed for our terminal, which is – after the EU enlargement last year – working as a ‘bip’ port for the EU. Beside the increased handling volumes, recently bigger volumes of container with citrus and capsicum from Israel are comings; customs clearance and distribution are made for EU market, while the newly started service of delivering the Israeli capsicum to Moscow is upgrading week by week.

Recently the direct container/ro-ro shipping line connection with Egypt has been restarted, which offers new export options for Egyptian fresh produce into EU with the transit time of 4 days.
