The highlight of the visit was the participation in the India International Cargo Show (IICS). At the fair, our representatives presented the key advantages of the southern trade route through Koper and Slovenia, along with opportunities for efficient connections to European markets. Visitors to the Port of Koper’s stand had the chance to learn more about our capacities, sustainable logistics solutions, and efficient multimodal links.

A significant achievement of the visit was the signing of a cooperation agreement with Samsara, a company that will serve as the Port of Koper’s representative and promoter in the Indian market in 2026. This step marked an important strategic move towards establishing a stronger and more permanent presence in the rapidly growing Indian logistics sector.

The goal of the Port of Koper delegation which included NevenkaKržan, President of the Management Board, GregorBelič, Member of the Management Board, AlešKocijan, Head of the General Cargo Terminal, BorutŠemrl, Head of Marketing, and KristijanBračun, Sales Representative at the Container Terminal, was to strengthen direct relations with Indian partners and further promote the importance of the southern transport route connecting India to Europe through Koper.

On 10 December, alongside the exhibition presentations, a conference on current global logistics challenges was held. Ms. Kržan took part in a panel discussion titled “Ports Drive Prosperity” where she joined several leading Indian logistics experts to present the Port of Koper’s development experience, strategic plans, and competitive advantages.

Through its activities in India, the Port of Koper continues its long‑term efforts to strengthen its position in the global market. In the past, the Port participated in numerous events in New Delhi, Mumbai, and Chennai, and already hosted Indian business delegations in Slovenia.
