The distinguished guest was welcomed by Nevenka Kržan, Member of the Management Board, who highlighted the importance of cooperation between the Port of Koper and Malaysia. The two sides agreed that the upgrading of the existing cooperation is important, especially in terms of further encouraging logistics companies from Malaysia and other ASEAN countries to use shorter and more sustainable transport routes, especially between the ports of Klang and Koper, as well as the Slovenian logistics network for the distribution of goods in Central and Eastern Europe.

On 12 May 2023, the Ambassador of Malaysia Francisco Munis and his colleagues, and the Honorary Consul of Malaysia in Slovenia Anton Papež paid a return visit to the Port of Koper.
