At the end of May we presented ourselves at the Breakbulk Europe exhibition in Bremen, the world’s largest exhibition for the project cargo and breakbulk industry. The fair is attracting mainly ocean carriers, forwarders and terminal operators focused on the special transport segment and Luka Koper was for the first time present with its own exhibition booth. In the growing segment of project cargo we are seeing a trend towards containerization and the use of well established container services. Regular and extensive container connections with the Far East are a strong competitive advantage of the Port of Koper. To mention also the regular Ro-Ro service from Koper with various Chinese, Japanese and Sout-east Asian ports, especially suitable for accepting, in addition to cars, a wide variety of heavy machinery and equipment.
