Construction machinery has been buzzing for weeks in the General Cargo storage area on Pier 2. A new enclosed 50G warehouse is being built there for the storage of bulk materials ‒ rolled sheet metal in coils. The new warehouse will make us more flexible, productive and competitive.

A new enclosed multi-purpose warehouse is being built on an area of approximately 2,800 square metres, between warehouses 50F and 51A. The space, which will be free of intermediate columns, will allow unhindered handling. The roof structure of the warehouse, which will be more than seven metres high when completed, will be made of pole beams laid on steel columns. It will have a gable roof, with profiled sheeting as the basic roofing material.

The 70 KN/m2 enclosed warehouse will have internal and external lighting and plumbing. At the same time, drainage will be provided in the northern and southern parts of the warehouse (up to the road). KOLEKTOR CPG workers, who are currently constructing the foundations of the warehouse and consolidating the ground, are expected to complete their work in the second half of this year. The investment is worth just over €1 million. At the port, there are currently 400,000 square metres of enclosed warehouses.
