The government of the Republic of Slovenia has at the end of March extended the concession area of Luka Koper. The new piece of land, called area 6A and 7A, is located in the hinterland of basin no. 3 and will extend the available port areas by 12 hectares. They will be used to create storage areas, mostly for the Car terminal. The total concession area has now 353 hectares.
The neighbouring area 5A (below the yellow areas, not coloured) is already included in the concession area and arrangement works are expected to start soon.
